For those who read my Google Adwords blog entry the other day, here’s the followup:

So, you’re thinking of getting yourself a Google Adwords account set up and doing some Pay-per-Click advertising eh? Well, the first thing to do is check with your website hosting company and find out whether they give out Google Adwords vouchers for free. It’s important to do this BEFORE you open your Google Adwords account because Google will accept these kind of introductory vouchers only for the first week or two that your Google Adwords account is open. After that, you cannot use them. My own hosting company gave me a £50.00 voucher which was a great way to test my new Google Adwords account without spending any money. Another place I found a free voucher was through Perry Marshall. I bought his book well after I opened my Adwords account, so I couldn’t use the voucher code Perry was giving away for free. It seems to me that the key to a wedding videography business these days is a strong internet presence. Ever since I started my business, I have been inundated with phone calls from companies that want to design me a cool website because I haven’t got one (even though I have), optimise my website for the search engines (lots of amazing promises made here!) or run me a Google Adwords ad campaign.
