Halloween Discount For Most Haunted Wedding Venues!

Carillon Video has had the good fortune to film some amazing wedding videos at stunning locations throughout the UK. Just last year (2010) we filmed a memorable day at Muncaster Castle in the Lake District. The castle is reportedly home to several ghosts including Henry VI who sheltered at the castle after his defeat at the Battle of Hexham. Other ghostly occurances have been attributed to a head carrying apprentice carpenter, a ghostly rendition of a local girl who was hung at the castle and of course the ghost of Thomas Skelton (Tom the Fool) who by all accounts wasn’t a very nice chap.
Tom the Fool was a jester in the castle during the 16th Century. He was a dodgy character and yet also a personal friend of William Shakespeare. He would take great pleasure in directing unsuspecting guests through the treacherous quicksands and to their deaths. Indeed, the castle hosts a ‘Tom Fools Day’ where they run family fun attractions. His portrait still hangs somewhere in the castle and whilst there, I desperately tried to find it so I could get some shots of the bride & groom alongside it. Alas, I think it’s somewhere in the private residence.
